Still crazy after all these years.
Didn't you run that studio at 24th and Mission? What happened?
Yes, from 1983-1997. We lost the space to the late 90's real estate boom, and landlord greed. It's a sad and ugly black box
now.
Do you rent out your space for activities other than dance?
Yes, we rent for film screenings, theater, weddings, birthdays and dances. Go to the Rates page for details and pricing.

New to the Bay Area? Looking for classes, but can't seem to get connected? Heard about us, but not sure about a new facility?
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

How safe is your location, and where can I park my car?
I understand the best studios are located in city guettos, but this is little comfort to anxious parents and young women,
especially at night. Danzhaus is located in a busy and well-lit area, where new developement is transforming the neighborhood
from industrial wasteland to a vibrant place for artists and entrepreneurs. We are still free of vagrants at our front door,
which is never-the-less monitored at all times. Our street is extra-wide, and parking is plentiful, safe, and free! That's
reason enough to choose danzhaus.

Proper dance flooring is essential, descrbe yours?
Yes, nothing upsets dancers and athletes like concrete-hard, uneven floors, which accounts for most injuries at clubs and
discos. Our floors are made in the classic basket-weave design, engineered to provide even distribution and return of energy,
which means they have a consistent, tight spring across the entire surface.
You've got a theater, are you going to produce shows?
Yes, look to October for our fall concert series, Artrance.
