Capoeira is the exciting Brazilian martial arts dance that continues to lend it's smooth acrobatic style, spinning aerials
and infectious rhythms to street dancing, movies, and televised competitions. Danzhaus is proud to welcome back from the old
school at Third Wave, Alex Moran, who is now Contra-Mestre Salsicha.
Contra-Mestre Salsicha teaches Tuesday and Thursday nights
from 7:30-9pm. Free street parking in front.
Alexander Lloyd Moran (Contra-Mestre Salsicha)
Contra-Mestre Salsicha has studied Capoeira for over 15 years and was first exposed to it at the age of 8 at the Mission
Cultural Center in San Francisco. He has studied numerous Martial Art and Dance styles which he brings to his teaching. He
recently moved back to the Bay Area from Eugene, OR, where he lead a Capoeira group for two years. As well as a Capoeira instructor,
Salsicha is a White Water Raft Guide and has a Bachelor's in Physics from SFSU.
